Event fees may be higher at some events.

Each participant has the responsibility to assess the safety aspects of track facilities and conditions and MUST assume the risks associated with competition.

GENERAL RULES FOR COMPETITION:
This is just a basic overview of rules and is by no means the comprehensive list.

All participants at an AMA sanctioned event are required to be licensed by AMA and must have in their possession their current AMA card. Not all events are AMA races. Please check schedule.

1. There must be at least 5 entries to make up a class. If there are less than five entries, they may participate in the next higher class or age level at the discretion of the Track Steward.

2. If a rider leaves the course during a race for any reason he/she must re-enter at the point of exit. If it is UNSAFE OR IMPOSSIBLE to re-enter at the point of exit, the rider may re-enter the track at the next safe place as long as said rider does not improve his/her position. Any rider caught cutting the track will be penalized at the discretion of the Track Steward.

3. A race may be stopped and restarted only due to a gate malfunction or rider safety issue. Any restart shall be at the discretion of the race starter or Track Steward. A race shall be deemed final if 50% or more of the laps are completed.

4. A lapped rider must move over at all times or be penalized at the discretion of the Track Steward.

5. Any unsafe & intentional hitting or bumping, taking out, or unsafe riding that is deemed dangerous by the Track Steward, will be grounds for disqualification or penalty as deemed appropriate. UN-sportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.

6. Gates may not be saved prior to the rider being called to the gate by the starter.

7. Helmets are required at all times. All riders must wear industry standard safety gear at all times.

8. It is the rider’s responsibility to be at the line for the start of his or her event. The starter will signal for the riders to get ready for the start once he has determined that the race can start safely, and may, at his sole discretion, hold a start for no more that 2 minutes for a rider experiencing mechanical difficulty.

9. Starts: The Starter, in select classes and at his sole discretion, may allow a parent/mechanic to “steady” the rider on the line. At no time shall anyone “push off” or otherwise assist a rider off the line in such a way that it provides an advantage for that rider. Any rider “jumping” the gate will be disqualified from that moto.

10. The rider is responsible for the actions of his or her parents, family members, mechanic, friends, or anyone else associated with him/her, and may be penalized or disqualified for the actions of those persons. Verbal harassment of officials will not be tolerated. Any physical abuse of officials will be grounds for permanent expulsion.

11. Anyone soliciting or distributing literature on the race grounds must first get permission from Meadow Creek MX.

12. The rider’s age as of the first race date of the current series shall determine the appropriate class for the rider in that series. Any rider found to be riding out of their age group will be disqualified from that days events, and lose all points accumulated for that series. Riders found to be riding out of class will NOT have their points move with them to the next higher class.

13. Any rider deemed to be riding in a class lower than his or her riding ability will be moved up at the sole discretion of the track officials. SANDBAGING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

14. No refunds or rainchecks will be made once practicing begins.

15. No one is allowed to question or contact the scorers once racing has begun.

16. Any trophies or prizes not picked up by the end of the day may be forfeited.

17. In the interest of fairness to our youngest riders, some of the “General Rules of Competition”, as they apply to the “PeeWee” class, may vary and/or be interpreted less stringently than stated herein. See the Track Steward for clarification of any rule.

18. MEADOW CREEK MX RESERVES THE RIGHT TO AMMEND OR MODIFY ANY RULE, OR ESTABLISH ANY NEW RULE AT ANY TIME, AS THE SITUATION MAY WARRANT.

19. MEADOW CREEK MX ALSO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO BAN ANY INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY FOR INAPROPRIATE CONDUCT ON THE TRACK OR MEADOW CREEK MX PROPERTY.

TECHNICAL & SAFETY INSPECTION:
1. All bikes must be suitable for competition. The bike must be designed for high performance use with safety in mind. Any bike deemed by the Track Steward as unsafe for competition will not be allowed to race.

2. All kickstands must be removed.

3. Brakes must be in good condition, properly adjusted, and capable of locking both the front and rear wheel.

4. Throttles must be spring return and in proper working order.

5. There must be a functional “kill button” on the left handlebar of the bike.

6. No part of the bike shall protrude in such a way as to present a safety hazard to riders.

7. Numbers must be of block style and clearly readable on front and both number plates by the scorers.
